I have an amazing story that is being more fully blogged about at 4kidzsake@blogspot.com. If you have similar problems - please share.

I think it is no secret that DCFS and the Dependency Court are out of control.

Every therapist I have spoke to knows this.

Even the best of who work for them seem to know it and appear embarrassed. The others are just too oblivious and incompetent.

If one can avoid it NEVER get caught up in "the system". It is HELL.

Almost a year ago I - against the better judgement of others - voluntarily entered this mess when attempts to protect my children from in home emotional and physical abuse were frustrated. So I reported to DCFS and ended up being charged with "failing to protect" because I "knew or should had known" as evidenced by the fact that I went to Family Law Court rather than reporting to them.

So the last year has been hell. The perpetrating parent has been sent the signal her behavior of beating and verbally and emotionally abusing the children is ok as I am the one painted as the problem (being called "an angry brat who did not get his way in Family Law Court and using the children as pawns") and the mother was called "the victim" by the judge in front of the children who 20 minutes prior had testified against her about the abuse and neglect they experienced in her care.

On the upside - every time we have to go to the Dependency Court - they do give the kids a teddy bear. The last one handed to the kids by their court appointed attorney as she told them "nothing is going to change today as your parents are putting you through hell".

This is an amazing story of bias and attorneys just taking the path of least resistance rather than protect children.

If I get any followers - I will continue but for more background go to 4kidzsake@blogspot.com
