This place is so cute, it's to die for. Simple Things Sandwich and Pie Shop on 3rd Street and Sweetzer is exactly that, they serve gourmet sandwiches and pies, and yes, there are some fantastic soups and salads as well. The sandwiches are unique, such as the Sweet Potato sandwich with grilled sweet potatoes, apples, jammy onions, chevre, avocado and cumin coleslaw on a pretzel roll, or their fried chix sandwich, thanksgiving sandwich, vegan po boy or brisket and cheese, you get the picture. They also serve Coke in a bottle and there are other little unique touches to the place. The interior design is darling and it's the perfect place for a weekend afternoon lunch before doing a little shopping on 3rd or at the Beverly Center. 8310 W. 3rd Street, L.A., CA 90048
