Ok, this week I am going to have to go deep on this one, I’m picking French “life film” ‘Little White Lies’ with the ever beautiful Marion Cotillard. The film was a huge success in France and is finally being released here in the U.S. and you can see it at most independent theater houses, you just have to put up with the subtitles. Little White Lies is a comedy-drama, hence, why I call it a “life movie” and is a kind of a French version of the 80s film ‘The Big Chill’ as film website Rotten Tomatoes describes it where a group of old friends in their 30s and 40s spend a weekend at a beach house filled with laughs and cries as they learn more about themselves. Great sound track with a cast filled with who’s who in French film. Believe me, it’s never a bad thing to watch wonderful foreign films, you learn that foreigners have the same life problems that we Americans have, and with the locations, it’s like going on a vacation for two hours.
