'Ballplayer: Pelotero' is a new documentary narrated by actor John Leguizamo and produced by Boston Red Sox manager Bobby Valentine. The film follows the world of Major League baseball training camps in the Dominican Republic. As the film points out, 20% of Major League baseball players in the U.S. are Dominican. The film is an incredibly candid look at both the youthful hopes of these young players one day making the big leagues and the grown men who arguably exploit them.
