No kill L.A. or NKLA is a movement and coalition dedicated to avoiding the killing or termination of 17,000 homeless animals each year in Los Angeles. The group wants to bring that number of animal exterminations to zero. Kind of cool; probably a good program for kids to pick up a free animal and learn unconditional love and responsibility. Here's their manifesto www.nkla.org:
