My husband went to the 99 Cent store on Lincoln by Rose the other night to make a last-minute kid-party purchase at my request, and the cashier said, “We don’t usually see people like you in here.” My husband had just come from work, and was wearing a suit and tie. I, of course, am wondering if I should be offended by this, because I occasionally shop at the 99 Cent store, and the cashier never said that to me.
And on a side note, isn't it strange that the 99 Cent Store is located directly next to Whole Foods (or Whole Paycheck, as many call it)?
